Other Achievements
Conducting fundraising events with schools and taking two major trips to India, one with the blind institute and the other to build houses in Kerla.
Fundraising for a disability organisation called Garvald Centre in Edinburgh, where I managed to raise £25,000.
Running school trips abroad and visiting local galleries, theatres and cinemas with secondary school students.
Running community service with high school students and finding work alternatives for them in local charity shops; encouraging them to help the elderly with their day-to-day shopping and gardening.
Organising skiing holidays to Austria for secondary school students.
Adopting the local railway station in St. Bees. This involved getting students to decorate and keep the station clean.
Business experience for students to bridge the gap between secondary school and college. This entailed pupils getting involved in day-to-day college routines and making a presentation to the whole school at the end about their experience.
